FPF Weekend Summary 08/10/2023
The Gaffas Bootroom Blog: Comments from Conrad Mukova FPF Director of Football
A very busy week of football saw FPF compete in 9 matches across 5 ages groups in the JPL and Harrow League, we even managed to fit in Academy games against Reading FC for u8’s & u9’s. At FPF we have many opportunities form grassroots to academy matches, have a look at what we do and see what all the fuss is about www.fpfacademy.com
JPL u8s
One word to describe them is Flawless. They showed their quality and were relentless in attack. Throughout the match they did not let their standards drop at all. The whole team worked well together to completely dominate their opposition and never stopped until the final whistle.
JPL U9s
This week we had members of our team playing against Arsenal and Reading so were missing some key personnel. We need to rise our game and confidence to win games when other team members are absent. Our Levels shouldn’t drop due to the absentees, in fact the team should work harder to make up the difference, we will have weeks like this so all the players need to raise their games in the coming weeks.
What to Work on this week: Communication amongst their team mates.
JPL Results
U8s Won 15 – 1 vs excellent touch
U9s lost vs Hayes & yeading 5-3
U9s lost 5-1 vs HGS Soccer School
FPF Sunday
U8’s
Our U8s first competitive league game, ended with a positive result. The result Showed the team, parents & staff that biding your time, can be rewarding eventually.
U9’s/U10’s
Both teams just need to get a settled squad as it’s early in the season, we have lots of new players signed I’m sure they will aid the team in the coming weeks. Special Mention to a new signing this season for the U’9s Anglo who scored a brace his first two goals of the season, he battled hard and really deserved his man of the match accolade.
U12’S
Both u12s won, double delight. What will hinder them throughout is their individual ego’s.
U14’S
First win for u14s this season. I’m very Proud of them all as it’s been coming. Now consistency will be key to better their season. We just need to build on this and drive forward together.
